Shares of open source software maker Red Hat bounced back in Friday's trading, after an analyst predicted the company would post a strong fourth quarter and upgraded the stock. The stock regained some lost ground from Thursday, when it closed down 6.8 percent at $20.96 on the New York Stock Exchange on a day when the technology-stock-heavy Nasdaq Composite Index tumbled 1.5 percent.
