MASCOTTE - At 12:26 a.m. on July 25, when most people were sleeping, the Duenez family stood outside their home watching helplessly as everything they owned went up in flames. Faulty wiring caused the fire that destroyed what had been the Duenez's home for 32 years. Because of mounting medical bills, the family had no homeowner's insurance.
